Some properties have an old structure that's been sitting way past its useful life - rotting wood, collapsing rooflines, metal sheeting pulling apart at the seams. It becomes a liability. It takes up space that could be used for something a whole lot better. That's exactly the situation we walked into on this job.
We started with a full shed demo. The structure was coming down in pieces on its own, so we came in with the Bobcat E88 excavator and got it done the right way - pulling it apart systematically, loading debris into the dump truck, and clearing the footprint clean. No half-measures. When a structure like this comes down, you want the whole thing gone, not just knocked over and left to deal with later.
Once the demo was wrapped up, we moved straight into the pad work. The goal was a solid 40x80 building pad - graded, built up, and ready to support whatever comes next. You can see from the aerial shots just how much earth movement that involves. Multiple machines on site, material brought in, layers worked and compacted across the whole footprint. Getting the grade right on something this size takes patience and the right equipment working together.
The end result is a clean, level pad sitting where an old eyesore used to be. The property is now set up to actually move forward - whether that's a new pole barn, a garage, a shop, whatever the plan calls for. That's the whole point of doing demolition and site prep correctly. You're not just removing something old, you're creating the right foundation for something new to be built on.
If you've got a structure that needs to come down, or you need a building pad prepped and ready to go, this is exactly the kind of work we do. Demolition and building pads go hand in hand, and handling both under one crew keeps the job cleaner, faster, and a lot less of a headache for you.
